E-Newsletter for February 2012

Year of the Water Dragon

According to Chinese astrology, 2012 is the Year of the Water Dragon. This is believed to be a year of great change and personal challenges. Brace your self, set powerful and positive intentions and enjoy!

In order to re-charge my own personal chi, I traditionally I take a break from doing feng shui writing, consultations and workshops for the month of December. This year, despite my best efforts, challenges with aging in-laws and an old dog had left me energetically depleted. The period of time I call my public 'Feng Shui Fast' lasted for almost 10 weeks! Thankfully, things are getting better and I know it is time for me to 'get back on the horse' ... or in this case, 'the dragon'... so to speak and get busy once again. So, if you are interested in hosting a workshop, booking a 'Lunch and Learn' for your work, or want to find out more about consultations, please give me a call.

In this e-newsletter, be moved by words and the power of intention (video), enjoy some fun facts about dragons and enjoy a poem about love.

My intention is that the contents of this newsletter will inspire you to embrace love in any way, shape or form that it comes to you... from lovers and others, including children, extended family, friends, the deity of your heart, the majesty of Mother Nature, and even your animal companions!

With blessings and gratitude,

Fun Facts About Dragons

In Chinese astrology the dragon is...
  • associated with power and wisdom.
  • the only animal of the Chinese zodiac year that is not real.
  • quite special and very much revered.
  • not seen as a threatening evil being as we do in the west - rather a symbol of power, superiority and rule.
  • seen as a powerful almighty king because it was made up of different parts of animals such as a tiger, fish, snake and an eagle.
Feng Shui for Love Prayer
By Rev Laurie Sue Brockway
(Reprinted with gratitude and permission.)

Please bless this household and all who live here and enter.
Please help me to remove negativity, old patterns, and anything that blocks my path to love ...
While still empowering me to feel secure and centered.

Help me open the doors and windows to love ...
Yet give me the power of discernment and clarity when it comes to relationships.

Help me fill my life with love and laughter and joy ...
And create an environment that supports and magnetizes more of the same.

Help me fill the rooms of my home with welcoming grace ...
And with energy and design that lets my true love know this is home.

Let the sun shine through these windows and bring happiness.
Let the moon shine down from the dark night and bring balance and peace.

May the blessings of the elements and all the directions surround me with loving guidance.
I choose to be ready for love, and to live the truth of my desire. I choose my most perfect partner.

Help me create a home and environment that welcomes true love to my door.
And please let me be present and willing to open the door when true love knocks.

Feng Shui for Bathrooms

The bathroom can be your home's biggest energy drain. Some people may tell you that it is the toilets that are 'bad' Feng Shui. That's not true! Bathrooms (and toilets) are recognized as essential! It is the location of the toilet, not the toilet itself, that is an energy concern.
