Feng Shui for Every Body

If your gastrointestinal system is affected by specific foods, then it only makes sense to make different food choices. But did you know that just as a gluten-free diet may be the answer to your health woes, understanding the energy of your environment could also improve your health? Really!

The practice of feng shui recognizes that whatever is closest to you has the most affect on your mental and physical health. Consider that everything around you gives off energy vibrations. Whether this is negative or positive energy is often your choice. Is your home filled with clutter, items that are broken or dysfunctional, things that remind you of bad times, and unfinished projects? If so, then everyday you are being bombarded with negative energy messages. Just as you may choose a gluten-free diet … choose to have a clutter-free home

Now evaluate your home's state of (dis)repair. Consider that your home’s plumbing is related to your digestive and gastrointestinal functions; the electrical system is linked to your nervous system; and the heating/air conditioning is associated with your circulatory system. Do you see any correlation between your homes ‘internal systems’ and your own?

Also know that your abdomen and internal organs are related to the Love and Relationships area of the BTB Feng Shui Bagua. To locate this area: stand at your front door and look towards the farthest right-hand corner of your home. This is the Love and Relationship gua. Consider what’s happening in your Love and Relationship gua. In some homes this area may even be missing!

Finally, create a home that is balanced with the five Natural Elements of Feng Shui, as each one relates to organs in the human body:

·      Water = Kidneys
·      Wood = Liver
·      Fire = Heart
·      Metal = Lungs
·      Earth = Spleen.

By arranging objects with intention you can introduce the five elements in harmony and create more balanced energy. For example:

·      Wood = Plants (real or silk)
·      Fire = Candles, pyramid shapes
·      Earth = Clay pots, ceramic ornaments, soil
·      Metal = Brass, silver, iron
·      Water = Small fountain, mirrors, glass, crystal

Take an active role in the arrangement of your living space. Your home mirrors what is happening in your life and with various parts of our body. We all have the choice to infuse our lives with healthy energy. Choose wisely.
