If the gray skies of January have you singing the blues, I suggest it is time for you to change your clothes and your attitude! The colour of our clothes, as well as the colours in our homes, can make a significant impact on how we feel.
Dark colours are often associated with sadness and mourning, so it only makes sense to wear brightly coloured clothing in effort to lift your spirits. In addition to the energy of specific colours affecting our moods and overall health, negative energy is also generated from clutter and disarray, unloved and unused items, and broken or dysfunctional things in our home and work environments. Our homes often mirror what is happening in our lives and our bodies.
According to the principles of Feng Shui, everything in our environment, from inanimate objects like stones and furniture to living beings, has an energy force. Whether that energy is positive and uplifting ... or negative and depressing ... is often your choice.
When you make an effort to balance the energy around you, the energy within you comes into balance and that creates better health. I am not saying that Feng Shui alone is a ‘cure all’ for what ails you, but it can help you feel healthier. When you improve your mood, you are better equipped to deal with life’s challenges. Sometimes, that can be achieved by doing something as simple as choosing to spice things up by wearing the frilly red bra and panties instead of the black Grannie briefs!
