The late His Holiness Professor Lin Yun recommended them because of what they do with light, both visually and spiritually. He believed that the light energy filtering through a crystal changes the energy of the surrounding space, in effect emitting and absorbing energy or ch’i (pronounced chee), as it is called in Feng Shui.

A leaded crystal absorbs and then refracts visible light into the seven-colour rainbow spectrum, a spiritual cure in itself that represents its power for life transformation. If the countdown to Christmas turns you into a ticking stress bomb… it is time for you to re-evaluate your holiday plans. This year, put stress reduction at the top of your list by incorporating Feng Shui into your festive planning.

I love getting out my holiday decorations. But, before I start unpacking things, I pack away some of my everyday ornaments to ensure that my home does not looked as stuffed as a Christmas turkey. Not only is my home clutter-free; it allows me to display these special items with the reverence and pride they deserve and to celebrate the real reason for the season. Christmas, we all need to remind ourselves is not just about presents and Santa!

• About Asian décor
• An infectious disease
• Based on superstition
• And it is definitely not a religion...Nor does it conflict with any denomination’s religious conviction

I do believe, however, that Feng Shui is based on faith. Faith that the universe will provide for you and that you deserve a life of excellent health, extraordinary happiness and great prosperity. Almost anything is possible if you set clear intentions and live your life full of optimism and appreciation.

Feng Shui can work for you. But it is important to recognize that it cannot be a substitute for taking responsibility for your own life. You still have to go to work, pay your bills and reach out to friends and family.

What is Feng Shui?

Thirty years ago, if you had mentioned to a friend that you were interested in Feng Shui they very likely would have given you a blank look, say “Gesundheit!” and offer you a tissue.

While still not commonplace in North America, more and more people are learning to adapt the principles of Feng Shui to their homes and/or places of employment and realizing amazing results!

Simply put, Feng Shui is the practice of  arranging your  home or office environment to be energetically nourishing, placing symbolic items in the most influential positions in your home, and setting powerful intentions to make positive changes in your life.
